Guilt free pancakes!
Enjoy your pancakes this year in aid of a flipping good cause!
12th February – 18th February 2018
Amanda Brunker and patients at the National Children’s Hospital, enjoyed a playful and yummy pancake party as they launched the annual National Pancake Party campaign. The fundraising campaign, now in its 13th year is a fun and delicious campaign which will run from the 12th of February to the 18th February, with the main event on Pancake Tuesday 13th February. All proceeds raised from the campaign will go directly to the National Children Hospital, Tallaght.
The National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght asks the public each year to enjoy their pancakes in aid of a worthy cause. By hosting a Pancake Party you can help The National Children’s Hospital to raise vital funds needed to support over 70,000 sick children from all over Ireland who attend the hospital each year.
Hosting a Pancake Party couldn’t be easier; you can make your own or buy some and invite your family, friends, work colleagues, neighbours, or classmates to join you. By hosting a Pancake Party at home, in school or at work you can give sick children the support and care they deserve and help make patients and families more comfortable during their hospital stay, all while enjoying a fun and delicious activity, it’s a no brainer.
Speaking at the launch TV personality Amanda Brunker stated “I am so delighted to launch this campaign with these three fantastic kids who are currently patients here at the National Children’s Hospital. I am already planning my pancake party and happy to help raise awareness and do what I can to help make the lives of these kids and their families a little easier.”
Speaking about the campaign, Head of Communications and Fundraising at The National Children’s Hospital,
Lillian McGovern said “Firstly I want to thank Amanda for giving us her time to launch this year’s Pancake Party campaign. This is one of our major fundraisers each year and it’s a really fun one that everyone enjoys. Most people enjoy pancakes on Pancake Tuesday anyway so why not help raise some money for a worthy cause while you’re at it. We simply ask families, workers, schools, sports clubs etc to support us by holding fun pancake parties anywhere and everywhere.”
Lillian continued “We rely heavily on support such as this and generous donations to allow us to give children from around the country the best possible care, nothing less than they deserve. All money raised from this year’s campaign will go directly towards updating facilities and services, improvements in wards and waiting areas at the hospital for its patients and their families.”
